Councillor Andrew Zbik voted against the Bob Campbell Masterplan that included a synthetic grass playing surface.
We have a delicate balance to support our local sporting clubs and to provide green-open space for social recreation.

I will support retaining Bob Campbell Oval as a natural turf field.
There is a review underway by the State Government on synthetic sports fields. We should await the results of this review before proceeding with any plans for a synthetic field.
The North Shore Regional Organisation of Councils has identified that we will face a shortage of sports fields in our region by 2036.
We will need to look to new technologies to extend the life of our natural turf fields.
