Your Candidates for East Ward

Your Candidates for East Ward: (Left to right): Rachel Baker (2nd), David Roenfeldt (Lead candidate and existing Councillor) and Sieger De Vries (3rd).

The Labor ticket for East Ward will be led by Clr David Roenfeldt

Securing our future

David is qualified as an Environmental Test Engineer and currently works in logistics.

Elected to Council in 2021, David has served the last year as Deputy Mayor.

David provides regular monthly video updates on Council matters to collaborate with residents.

Whilst making decisions on the strategic future of Lane Cove has been a big part of my role as an elected representative the most satisfying aspect is meeting with residents and community groups and achieving an outcome on their behalf.

With a Capital Works program underway for the next couple of years, Council requires continued leadership and steady hands to stay the course on delivering the existing and future infrastructure projects that are required to meet the demands of an ever increasing population in Lane Cove.

I have loved being a Councillor and Deputy Mayor and I place myself again in the hands of the wonderful Lane Cove residents to place their faith in me and our Lane Cove Labor team to continue to deliver for Lane Cove.

Rachel Baker

Rachel has a degree in Social Science majoring in Sociological Theory and is in her third year as a community representative on the Lane Cove Council Access and Inclusion Committee.

She is self-employed and works in Communications. Rachel understands the nuanced needs of the community and lives locally with her partner and teenage daughter.

Sieger De Vries

Sieger has lived in Lane Cove for over 22 years and has raised his two children here.

He is a self-employed IT consultant advising large organisations on creating a customer-focused, collaborative and productive work environment for IT teams.
